Carbon Steel Long Weld Neck Flanges are made up of primarily iron, comprising a carbon percent range of 0.05–0.50%, and other alloys, including manganese, sulfur and phosphorus to enhance the strength and machinability properties. Mechanically, these flanges also exhibit high tensile strength, good yield strength, ductility and resistance to fatigue which are mechanical properties suitable for applications exposed to high temperatures and/or high pressure. Physically, these flanges exhibit moderate density, good thermal and electrical conductivity, wear resistance and high resistance to deformation.
