Stainless Steel 347H Flanges are made primarily from chromium and nickel with an addition of columbium/tantalum. This nickel-chromium steel contains a higher percentage of carbon for improved creep strength. The typical composition is 17-19% chromium, 9-13% nickel, and greater carbon content, thereby improving their strength properties.
